The purpose of the dampener called "PIPE-HUGGER" LP, with PLASTIC wetted parts, designation Peg/Plas is to provide a dampener in which all stresses from pressure, are born by metal parts, BUT with the compatibility of plastics to the process liquid being available for corrosion resistance.

As the corrosive liquids are within the bladder, these dampeners do not require the air pad / nitrogen housing to be manufactured from a liquid compatible plastic.

PipeHugger LP / Plas dampers are therefore useable at lower temperatures, without the danger of brittle fracture of the housing common to "all plastic" dampeners. Peg/Plas is a safer alternative than the PULSEGUARD Pig/Plas damper range.

The liquid wetted plastic parts of these pulsation dampeners are typically PVC, PolyPropylene, or glass reinforced PTFE. The Pipehugger LP pulse damper bladders are inventoried in: EP, Fluoro Elastomer designation "V", Nitrile, and Hypalon. 20 other bladder materials are made to order including Butyl.
